
Jeanette Ward
Jeanette has more than 20 years’ experience in senior press and communications roles within national museums, arts organisations, higher education and the civil service.
Jeanette’s cultural communications experience encompasses major visitor attractions, such as Royal Museums Greenwich, Tate and the Southbank Centre; public and commercial contemporary galleries, such as the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the South London Gallery and Alan Cristea Gallery; Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport; Leeds Arts University; and Phaidon Press. Agency-side she has supported clients such as the Hong Kong Art Fair, National Trust, Waddesdon Manor and the Wallace Collection.
Jeanette has led high-performing press teams to deliver campaigns that reach new audiences and often set the cultural-news agenda, with national, international, regional and consumer media coverage for blockbuster exhibitions, museum capital projects, funding announcements, international art prizes, festivals, art fairs, books and ministerial activities. Career highlights include campaigns for Matisse: The Cut Outs – one of the UK’s most-visited exhibitions – and Yayoi Kusama at Tate Modern.
Most recently she led media relations for UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK working with a complex mix of stakeholders, from creative partners to national and local government, to ensure that campaigns across UNBOXED’s programme were integrated and aligned.
