Flint Culture worked with Manchester Museum in the lead up to its reopening following a major £15 million redevelopment. The revamp included a new wing featuring four new gallery spaces. We were brought on board to communicate the museum’s vision and mission and secure media coverage for the museum’s new South Asia Gallery.
We delivered more than 500 pieces of coverage across 24 countries. Highlights include a 4-star review in The Guardian; interviews with Esme Ward in The Times, The Sunday Times and BBC Radio 4 Front Row; and features in The Observer, The New York Times, Financial Times, The Art Newspaper, Apollo and Conde Nast Traveller. We delivered an international press trip from India, and multiple influencer collaborations.
The campaign resulted in record-breaking footfall – 52,000 in the opening week and more than 250,000 in the first two months of opening – far in excess of expectations.
“Our work with Flint was collaborative and creative from the outset. There is no doubt that their engaged and strategic approach to sharing our stories, work and impact was pivotal to reaching so many. I cannot recommend them highly enough.”
Esme Ward, Director of Manchester Museum
