Wright & Wright to launch some of London’s most important cultural projects in 2021
Our London team is working with the award-winning architectural practice to tell the story behind their work and support their projects in 2021.
Wright & Wright is an award-winning architectural practice based in London. Well known for its design flair and imagination in significant historic settings, the practice focuses on creating contemporary yet sensitive solutions for museums, libraries, archives and educational institutions. Clients include the V&A, the Royal College of Art, Oxford and Cambridge universities, the Women’s Library, the National Gallery, Pallant House and Lambeth Palace Library.
This year sees the opening of the new Museum of the Home in East London. Wright & Wright’s remodelling revitalises a 300-year-old assemblage of almshouses and gardens constituting Hackney’s most historically significant Grade I-listed site. In tandem with its physical transformation, the museum will launch with a revised mission to reveal and rethink the way that we live and present a new curatorial approach to its displays and programming, looking at the idea of home and its wider resonance in contemporary society.
