Show Us Your Paisley – Nationwide search for museum’s 150th anniversary
Fashion designer Pam Hogg is leading a call for Paisley-patterned items the public have at home – from clothing to cookware – to mark the 150th anniversary of Paisley Museum.
The most interesting and unusual submissions featuring the iconic teardrop motif, which originated in Kashmir, will be considered for a new display in the museum, currently undergoing a £42million redevelopment and reopening to the public in 2023. The items will be displayed alongside a couture outfit by Paisley-born Hogg, who last year created the ‘Paisley poodle’ print inspired by the museum’s collection.
The public has until Sunday 30 May 2021 to submit their suggestions for consideration by emailing paisleymuseum@renfrewshire.gov.uk, or sharing them on social media using #ShowUsYourPaisley and tagging @paisleymuseum.
