A long walk for Little Amal
Our Istanbul office will be helping bring Little Amal to life for Good Chance Theatre’s The Walk, a travelling festival of art and hope in support of refugees.
This summer, Little Amal, a 3.5 meter-tall puppet of a young refugee girl will embark from the Syria-Turkey border on an epic voyage that will take her across Europe to the UK. Representing all displaced children, many separated from their families, she will travel over 8,000km embodying the urgent message “Don’t forget about us”.
Along the route, The Walk will bring together celebrated artists, major cultural institutions, community groups and humanitarian organisations to create one of the most innovative and adventurous public artworks ever attempted.
Flint Culture’s communications campaign covering Little Amal’s journey across Turkey will draw on the agency’s experience working on high-profile public art projects including PROCESSIONS. We are proud to be a part of The Walk’s international team and look forward to sharing Little Amal’s adventures.
