London Art Fair 2020 opens the international art calendar

London Art Fair 2020 is now open to the public at the Business Design Centre in Islington and runs until Sunday 26th January. Featuring 126 galleries from 14 countries, the Fair connects museum-quality modern and contemporary art with both seasoned and aspiring collectors.

Curated sections at this year’s fair include Threading Forms at Platform, which seeks to capture the breadth of different artists working in textiles and the growing appreciation of the medium as a beautiful and collectable art form, and Occupy the Void, the Fair’s Photo50 exhibition featuring 10 talented living female photographers aged over 50 exploring the cultural ‘space’ that they inhabit, curated by collector and gallerist Laura Noble. Art Projects has also returned, offering a platform for 18 emerging galleries to showcase contemporary art from across the globe. Hosted as part of Art Projects, the Screening Room is an accompanying programme of collaborative video and new media initiatives. This year the curator Pryle Behrman explores the increasing commodification in our society and how this encroaches on our leisure time.

There is also an extensive programme of talks, workshops and tours which are running throughout the duration of the Fair.
