Don’t Move, Improve! The Geffrye Museum of the Home to relaunch in 2020

Flint has been appointed to support the reopening of  The Geffrye Museum of the Home in 2020.

The Geffrye Museum of the Home has embarked on an ambitious £18.1m capital project, Unlocking the Geffrye, which will open up previously inaccessible spaces to display more of the museum’s collections, create new spaces for learning and events, and provide better facilities for visitors.

At the centre of the project is The Home Gallery, a new gallery exploring contemporary and historic stories about the home, which will grow the museum’s permanent display space by 50%.

As well as its physical spaces, the Geffrye Museum of the Home will explore and challenge the concept of home. Through exhibitions, programmes and partnerships, the museum will investigate the different ways we live, as well as the impact of society on home.

Flint will work alongside the Geffrye’s in-house team to develop and deliver a wide-ranging communications campaign in the lead up to the reopening of the much-loved East London institution in 2020.
