Flint Culture is very pleased to be leading the international and national media campaign for the opening of Labour of Love, a major exhibition celebrating the 25th anniversary of Galerist, one of Turkey’s leading contemporary art galleries.
Officially opening on 16 September in Istanbul and running until 7 November 2026, the exhibition brings together close to 50 artists who have shaped the gallery’s programme since its founding in 2001, presenting significant historical works alongside 17 new commissions created especially for the occasion.
Themed around self-portraiture, each artist presents works that reflect the distinctive qualities of their practice, exploring identity through materials, recurring forms and artistic processes.
Featured artists include Nil Yalter, Ayşe Erkmen, İpek Duben, Elif Uras, Hera Büyüktaşcıyan, Hussein Chalayan, Kendell Geers, Taner Ceylan, Semiha Berksoy, Hüseyin Bahri Alptekin and Youssef Nabil, among many others.
Exploring themes of identity, memory, artistic exchange and community, Labour of Love celebrates artistic collaboration and the relationships that have shaped Galerist over the past twenty-five years. The exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience works by some of the most influential voices in contemporary art, fashion and design, alongside a new generation of emerging artists.
