Influencer engagement in the cultural sector: connecting organisations with the right creators

Influencer engagement is becoming an increasingly important part of cultural marketing, helping organisations reach new audiences through trusted, authentic voices.

The Flint Digital team has been busy working on briefs which combine cultural insight, regional knowledge and international reach, in order to identify the right creators for each brief. Recent projects with London Craft Week and SS Great Britain’s Bristol Dockyards demonstrate how targeted creator engagement can build awareness and meaningful connections around cultural experiences and moments.

For organisations and brands, reaching audiences increasingly means going beyond traditional marketing channels. Influencer engagement offers a powerful way to introduce exhibitions, festivals, destinations and cultural content to new communities through voices audiences already know and trust. At Flint Culture, we specialise in identifying the creators who can bring those stories to life in an authentic and relevant way.

Our approach combines sector expertise with detailed knowledge of regional and international creative communities, allowing us to develop carefully curated talent lists aligned to each client, audience and campaign.

For London Craft Week, we partnered with the prestigious week-long festival to identify influencers and creators with a genuine interest in craft, design and culture. Selected talent attended events throughout the programme, creating organic engagement and sharing their experiences with their followers.

We also supported Bristol Dockyards on the opening of its rebrand and expansion, curating a selection of relevant creators who could experience the development first-hand and communicate their perspectives.

Additionally, Flint Digital partnered with Dentsu on the Japan Cultural Expo 2.0 programme, supporting an evening at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London featuring renowned contemporary artist Takashi Murakami. We curated a targeted group of cultural influencers with a strong interest in Japanese art, culture and creativity, inviting them to experience the event first-hand and share their perspectives across their social channels. This helped broaden awareness of the programme and direct audiences towards the Japan Cultural Expo website and social platforms.

These projects reflect our belief that effective influencer marketing in the cultural sector is about relevance and authentic collaboration and connection, rather than reach or followers numbers alone.

Working across our international offices and with trusted local associates, Flint Digital can identify talent across markets and creative disciplines, helping cultural entities build thoughtful creator strategies that deliver authentic engagement and broaden their reach.
