The Fair Play Art Fair is a new, artist-first contemporary art event launching at One Marylebone, London, from October 15–18, 2026, to coincide with Frieze Week. Founded by Ryan Stanier, the creator of The Other Art Fair, this innovative initiative addresses the challenges facing London’s creative community by removing upfront exhibition and booth fees. This merit-led structure allows a curated selection of 70 independent artists, chosen via an open call, to showcase and sell their work directly to visitors and collectors.
An expert-led independent selection committee oversees the process, featuring notable cultural figures Kate Bryan, Jo Baring, Lison Sabrina Musset, and Angus and Charlotte Buchanan. Beyond the main exhibits, the “Fair Play Curates” programme will spotlight additional emerging talent. The event promises a multidisciplinary social experience, enriching the visitor offer with interactive performances, artist-led supper clubs, and evening DJ and live music sets hosted in the building’s basement, The Vaults. Ticket information and the final lineup of participating artists will be released in August 2026.

New art fair Fair Play launches in London this October
Fair Play Art Fair, a new art fair presenting the work of 70 exceptional artists chosen by an expert-led curatorial panel, will launch at London’s One Marylebone from 15–18 October 2026. Introducing an artist-first model that removes upfront booth fees for artists, Fair Play will enable collectors to discover, connect with and purchase directly from independent artists. Created by Ryan Stanier, founder of The Other Art Fair, Fair Play is designed to reintroduce an element of surprise and play: it will combine contemporary art with a programme of artist-led supper clubs, DJ nights and interactive experiences. The artists will be chosen by a selection committee including Kate Bryan, Chief Art Director at Soho House; Jo Baring, Director of the Ingram Collection; Lison Sabrina Musset, co-founder of The Collective Makers; and Angus and Charlotte Buchanan, founders of Buchanan Studio.
