Over the past months, Flint Culture has provided crucial support in creating engaging, bilingual content across the Museums Commission’s digital channels. This work helps tell the stories behind important institutional achievements, strategic plans, and the ongoing transformation of Saudi Arabia’s cultural sector. Informed by an initial strategy development process, the content covers a wide range of topics, from international collaborations to celebrated curatorial work, exciting programs, and the important role museums play in public life.
Through this engagement, Flint Culture has helped shape a more outward-facing voice for the Commission, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s growing presence in the international museum landscape. By focusing on sharing insights and industry developments, the digital campaign positions the Museums Commission as a central voice in both regional and international discussions about the future of cultural infrastructure. This work forms part of the Commission’s broader mission to encourage excellence and public engagement, both within the Kingdom and beyond.
A key focus of our recent work has been the launch of an international media campaign in support of Art of the Kingdom: Poetic Illuminations, a travelling group exhibition featuring seventeen leading contemporary Saudi artists with the aim to introduce Saudi art to a global audience.
Organised by the Museums Commission under the Ministry of Culture, the exhibition first opened at the historic Paço Imperial in Rio de Janeiro. After that, Art of the Kingdom came home to Saudi Arabia, showing at the Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art at JAX (SAMoCA@JAX). The exhibition’s global journey then continued with a stop at the National Museum of China in Beijing, a timely event that coincided with the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and China.
In support of the Art of the Kingdom: Poetic Illuminations exhibition, Flint Culture provided a comprehensive communications service, including engaging specialist international media, coordinating a press trip for international journalists, developing all press materials, and providing extensive on-the-ground logistical and media management support. The campaign reached audiences in over 10 countries and further solidified Saudi Arabia’s place in the global art scene.
