For the inaugural edition of Balad Al-Fann, an innovative and community-driven arts and culture initiative set to regenerate Jeddah’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Historic District, Flint Culture organised a press trip in early February 2024, hosting 15 local, regional and international journalists.
Spanning from December 7, 2023, to March 9, 2024, Balad Al-Fann aimed to revive the historical significance of Jeddah, Al-Balad and interweave Jeddah’s rich heritage with the dynamism of contemporary art, music, theatre, culinary experiences, and traditional crafts.
Throughout the three months, Balad Al-Fann featured contemporary art exhibitions, an array of musical programs, diverse theatrical performances, crafts workshops and culinary experiences by local restaurants. Flint Culture has been providing support across many work streams for Balad Al-Fann’s multi-layered communications campaign, from media relations to influencer partnerships, to social media campaigns and content creation.
